About Paradip Beach

Paradip Beach is a coastal beach and maritime destination at the confluence of the Mahanadi River and the Bay of Bengal in Paradip, Jagatsinghpur district, Odisha. The beach is known for its golden sand, large sea breakwaters, coastal promenade and proximity to Paradip Port.

The beach area also provides access to attractions such as Paradip Lighthouse, Marine Aquarium and Smruti Udyan. Its coastal setting combines seaside recreation with views of the maritime infrastructure and cargo ships around the port's outer anchorage.

Paradip developed from a coastal fishing village into an important port destination because of its strategic location near the Mahanadi River estuary. The foundation stone of the modern Paradip Port was laid on 3 January 1962 by India's then Prime Minister, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.

By road, Paradip Beach is approximately 118–125 km from Bhubaneswar Airport and about 94 km from Cuttack.

By Train

Paradip Railway Station is approximately 8–10 km from the beach. The station is connected through a branch railway line from Cuttack.

Cuttack Junction is approximately 92–94 km away and serves as a major railway hub with road connections towards Paradip.

By Air
